Week 12 and 13 Test Scope

 

Grade 5 – A1

 

Hello Parents,

 

We will begin our second round of Exams for this semester starting next week.

 

Please note the scheduled test dates: 

The Listening/Reading Test will be on Wednesday, November 18th.

The Oral Presentation Test will be on Tuesday, November 17^th, and potentially Wednesday November 18^th, and Thursday November 19^th.

The Grammar Test will be on Friday November 20^th.

The English Written Test will be on Wednesday, November 25^th.

 

       The tests will cover the following:

 

FOR ALL EXAMS:

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 8-11.

Reader-Writer 4.1 Stories and Articles – The Horned Toad Prince, and What Jo Did.

Be able to match vocabulary to its easy definition

 

LISTENING / READING TEST:

Use and trust your instincts. Stay focused and listen carefully to the whole conversation before selecting your answer. Some of the questions will try and trick you.

 

ORAL PRESENTATION TEST:

With a partner, create an original short Reader’s Theater conversation script, 4-6 minutes long to be performed in front of the class. Choose one of the 4 topic options.

 

GRAMMAR TEST:

Fun Grammar Units 26-29, Let’s Go Units 5-8, Vic 2000 p. 1-5

 

WRITTEN TEST: 

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 8-11.

Reader-Writer 4.1 Stories and Articles – The Horned Toad Prince, and What Jo Did

 

 

Know and be able to recognize the main characters of the stories.

Be able to match vocabulary to its easy definition

Review synonyms and antonyms

Review common and proper nouns

Review compound sentences

 

The students must know the content of the stories. Please re-read all the main stories.
